A man reported a carjacking Tuesday at McCanless Road. The man said that he left his Torbush Drive home to get a pizza from the Sheetz Gas Station.
At the time, he said, he was driving his wife’s green Ford F-150. The man reported that while he was at a stop sign at McCanless and Bringle Ferry roads, two cars pulled up behind him. He told officers that two African-American males got out of the cars and approached his vehicle, both allegedly holding handguns.
The man told officers that he got out of the truck and let the men take the vehicle. According to the report, they turned left onto Bringle Ferry Road and drove away.
The man went to the back door of Autumn Care of Salisbury and banged on the door until Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies responded. The case is still under investigation.
