South Davidson High School sophomore Hannah Crawford took the lead at just past the half-mile mark to cruise to an easy win at the Color Me Pink 5K. Crawford ran one of the fastest times for a female 5K in history at the Salisbury Community Park with a time of 19 minutes and 45 seconds on the challenging course. The top male was John Sokolowski with a time of 20 minutes and 59 seconds.

Race Director Elizabeth Clarke said, “I want to thank our volunteers and sponsors, especially Weber USA, for making this event possible. Thanks to the staff of Salisbury Community Park as well. All of our proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.” Runners and walkers were covered in colorful material during the race on a spectacular fall morning.
