Christopher Chung, CEO of North Carolina’s Economic Development Partnership, will be the keynote speaker at Rowan County Chamber of Commerce’s Power in Partnership breakfast on Thursday.

Thursday’s event will start at 7:30 a.m. at Trinity Oaks — 728 Klumac Road. Those who don’t own a Power Card and are interested in attending, must request individual reservations by Tuesday at 5 p.m. Oct. 13 by 5 p.m. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. The price includes the cost of breakfast and the program. Duke Energy is the sponsor of the October Power in Partnership breakfast.

Chung became the EDPNC executive in January and held similar statewide economic development positions in Missouri and Ohio before coming to North Carolina. Dates for the remaining 2015-2016 breakfast meetings are: Nov. 19 (Henning Bruns, Freightliner); Dec. 17 (Bishop Tim Smith); Jan. 21 (Economic Outlook); Feb. 18 (Arts Speaker); March 17 (Agri-business); April 21 (Health Care); and, May 19 (Dr. Jim Johnson, UNC Chapel Hill – Leadership Rowan Graduation).

The Chamber’s breakfast series averaged over 150 attendees each month during its last two seasons.

The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce gives sponsors exclusive marketing rights to the banquet room and a five minute sponsor profile on their company. Partner agencies will share updates with the local business leaders and address issues of concern for the entire region.

The Leadership Rowan Class will start their day at the breakfast and then venture out for each day’s session focused on a different aspect of the community.

The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce sells its Power Card as part of the Rowan Chamber’s frequent attender program. Power Card members receive a discounted price for the series and do not have to make a reservation each month.

The price of the pro-rated Power Card is $80 for members and $200 for non-members.
