Jordan Lee Chillson, 21, a senior at Catawba College and member of the soccer team, was arrested Wednesday on charges of breaking and entering.

Chillson was arrested at the 1300 block of Overhill Road in reference to a string of vehicle break­-ins in the area. According to  Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies, heroin was found inside Chillson’s dorm room.

Chillson is being held under a $5,000 secured bond, An investigation is ongoing into possible drug charges.

Catawba College spokesperson Tonia Black-Gold said the college is saddened by the news, but had no other comment.
