The state dual team wrestling playoffs begin on Tuesday.

Most matches get under way at 6:30 p.m. Carson is starting at 6 p.m.

Two rounds will be conducted on Tuesday. Rounds  three and four will be held Thursday at sites to be determined, with the fourth round determing regional championships.

State championships will be decided on Saturday.

In 2A, Salisbury (22-7) wrestles North Surry (21-2) at West Wilkes.

The winner will then wrestle West Wilkes (33-4) or Madison (14-5).

In 3A, Carson (11-6) is at home against fifth-ranked  Piedmont (34-4).

The winner wrestles Southwestern Randolph (27-2) or Pisgah (19-2).

Also in 3A, East Rowan (17-3) wrestles North Lincoln (16-3) at North Iredell.

The winner wrestles North Iredell (17-10) or Marvin Ridge (22-19).

In 4A, fourth-ranked Davie (27-3) wrestles at home against Porter Ridge (16-10).

The winner wrestles Independence (20-16) or Greensboro Smith (32-5).

Also in 4A, A.L. Brown (14-1) wrestles at home against T.C. Roberson (20-14).

The winner wrestles South Meck (14-4) or Mount Tabor (35-8).
