SALISBURY — Catawba’s baseball team rolled 10-1 against Lander on Tuesday at Newman Park.

Lander (37-13) has a great record, but the Indians (38-12) have been close to unbeatable at home this season. They are 26-1 in the friendly confines.

Drew Robertson had three hits, including a triple, and scored three runs. Sam Hunter and Logan Rogers had doubles. Rogers had two hits and two RBIs. Ty Hubbard also knocked in two runs.

Casey Gouge started on the mound and lasted into the fourth inning. Mason Gwyn (6-1) provided strong relief.

Catawba broke open a close game by scoring six runs in a seventh inning that was fueled mostly by patience and walks.

The SAC tournament begins on Friday.
