In sheriff’s office reports: 

• Patrick Dean Blakey, 24, 4170 W. N.C. Highway 152, China Grove, on Saturday was charged with assault on a female. Blakey allegedly struck a female by punching her in the face and pushing her against a wall by her throat.

In Salisbury Police Department reports: 

• Brandon Keith Galarza, 26, 10 South Main Street, Apartment 106A, on Saturday was arrested for assault on a female. Galarza allegedly repeatedly grabbed a female by the neck and squeezed, causing bruising.

In other reports:

• Carolyn Everhart Grooms, 72, 1915 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, on Friday was charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance and sell/deliver a schedule III controlled substance.

• Marquez Orlando Moser, 21, 115 Knoll View Drive, Salisbury, on Saturday was charged with resisting a public officer and assault on a government official or employee. Moser allegedly struck a Kannapolis police officer and attempted to flee on foot.
