A man wanted for felony child abuse has been arrested in Buncombe County, according to a release from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Dustin Aaron Wilson, 23, was arrested Monday in Swannanoa. He is being held in the Buncombe County jail until he can be brought back to Rowan County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, in late October Wilson seriously abused his infant child, who was brought to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center with injuries consistent with a physical assault.

The Sheriff’s Office received numerous tips about Wilson’s location that led to his arrest, the release said.
