Rowan County will play Winston-Salem in the semifinals of the Area III American Legion playoffs, although the site of Saturday’s Game 1 in the best-of-five series won’t be known until after a coin flip today.
Winston-Salem won a five-game series with Eastern Randolph by prevailing 6-5 on Thursday.
High Point won 9-8 over Kernersville on Thursday to finish another five-game, second-round series and will play the Mooresville Moors in the other semifinal.
Winston-Salem, High Point, Rowan and the Moors are all No. 1 seeds, so flipped coins will determine home-field advantage.
