Spencer police say man pointed assault rifle at woman

Authorities charged a Salisbury man with breaking into a Spencer home in February and threatening a woman there with an assault rifle.
Spencer Police brought charges against Aaron Matthew Kesler, 20, of the 600 block of Goodson Road, of first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was arrested Thursday and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. Arrest warrants said he went into a South Salisbury Avenue home and took three flat screen televisions, a 12-gauge shotgun and 20-gauge shells, a laptop, bank bags containing $2,380 and motorcycle patches and pins. He is accused of pointing an SKS semi-automatic assault rifle at a woman there. The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served the warrants.

• Kimberly Renee Randall, 38, was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor resist, obstruct, delay a public officer in the 1000 block of Bear Poplar Road, Cleveland.
• Christian Lee Fox, 16, was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2200 block of Stirewalt Road, China Grove.
• Diamon Star Harley Adcock, 17, was charged Wednesday with the simple assault of a 17-year-old girl in the 700 block of Crescent Road, Rockwell.

• A woman reported Thursday a burglary occurred sometime between Wednesday and Thursday in the 1100 block of Terrace Drive.

• A man reported Thursday a larceny from his motor vehicle in the 1600 block of Brenner Avenue.
• A man exposed himself Thursday to a woman in the parking lot of Old Navy on Faith Road.
• A man reported Thursday a fraud in the 1400 block of Parkview Circle.
• A woman reported a simple assault Thursday in the 1100 block of Lincolnton Road.
• A larceny was reported Thursday in the 700 block of Laurel Pointe Circle.
