Love’s Travel Stop just off Interstate 85 on Peeler Road opened Thursday.
The new travel stop includes Chester’s International and McDonald’s restaurants, as well as gourmet coffee, an expanded fountain drink selection, fresh fruit, travel items, gift merchandise and more. Professional drivers can use the new Love’s 85 truck parking spaces and the on-site truck tire care center.
Love’s invites members of the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony to be held there at 10 a.m. April 24. As part of the festivities, Love’s will present a $2,000 donation to the Rowan County Cooperative Extension’s 4-H program.
“Salisbury is an ideal location for our third travel stop in North Carolina with its access to I-85 and proximity to Greensboro and Charlotte,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s Travel Stops. “We look forward to providing the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to members of the community and people traveling between these two cities and beyond.”
