Pesticide classes offered for those needing training
Cooperative Extension is providing V recertification training for those whose private applicator’s license expires Sept. 30. Those with private applicator’s license certification are required to have two credit hours of V or safety training and two credit hours of X or extra training. Private applicators who have failed to renew their cards by Sept. 30 of the last year of their recertification period will be required to take and pass a written exam.
Cooperative Extension will hold recertification class for V credits on two different days at the Agricultural Center on Old Concord Road in Salisbury: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 7-9 p.m.; Friday, March 7, 9-11 a.m.
If you want to see other available trainings in our area, or wish to see your credit status, go to the pesticide section page on the Internet: http://www.ncagr.gov/SPCAP/pesticides/license.htm . Contact Cooperative Extension at 704-216-8970 to register or for more information.
