A gunman robbed the Cook Out Restaurant on Saturday morning, taking an undisclosed amount of money and escaping on foot.
The suspect shot through the glass of the restaurant at 801 E. Innes St., Salisbury, around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a release from Salisbury Police.
After he gained entry, the gunman demanded an undisclosed amount of the money from an employee. The suspect then left on foot.
He is described as a black male, 5-feet-8 or 5-feet-9 with shoulder-length dreadlocks, wearing a black ski mask covering his lower face, a black jacket and black cargo type pants. The suspect was also carrying a gray and blue book bag.
The robbery is believed to be connected to robberies that have occurred at Cook Outs in Denver, N.C., in December and in Charlotte and Indian Trail earlier this month.
