Slow cooker workshop Jan. 14
Cooperative Extension will host a Slow Cooker Workshop titled, “Now Serving: Slow Cooker Meals!” This workshop is designed for anyone desiring to learn more about the slow cooker and how to prepare tasty, nutritious and wholesome meals using a slow cooker.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Agricultural Center located at 2727 Old Concord Road. Participants will learn the benefits of using a slow cooker, slow cooker safety, and how to prep and arrange food in the slow cooker to ensure that uniform cooking occurs. Toi Degree will be the instructor. There is no charge, but space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Pre-register on Friday, Jan. 10 by calling 704-216-8970.
