Players to watch include West Rowan’s Kelly Boley, South Rowan’s Alex Bare, East Rowan’s Grace Stokes and Kathryn Marcum and Carson’s Addison Collins.
Cox Mill has been the dominant team in the league all season.
Undefeated Carson is at Hickory Ridge today, and the Cougars will be looking to clinch an outright league championship against the SPC’s second-place team.
Carson will be in 3A state playoff action on Saturday.
• The CCC tournament starts today. No. 3 seed Salisbury is at home against No. 6 Lexington at 5 p.m.
North Rowan is the No. 1 seed and will play in Tuesday’s semifinals at East Davidson.
Salisbury and East Rowan will be at home in first-round dual team tennis matches on Tuesday.
Qualifiers from Salisbury will compete in the 2A Midwest Regional on Friday and Saturday in Lexington.
East Rowan and Carson qualifiers will compete in Concord in the individual 3A Midwest Regional.

Catawba’s women’s team finished 20th and the Catawba men were 22nd in the Royals XC Race hosted by Queens in Charlotte.
Erica Boles led the Catawba women. She was 66th in 20:09. Olivia Myers ran 20:42. Devan Purvis (Carson) was timed in 24:30.
Catawba’s men were led by Alex Griffin, who ran 28:18 on an 8K course and finished 86th.
Wingate’s women and King’s men won the team titles.
Catawba won 3-1 against Newberry on Friday. Kaytee Frabotta dished out 42 assists and had five aces to lead the Indians.
• Catawba (3-9, 3-7 SAC) lost 3-1 to Anderson on Friday at Goodman Gym. Rachel Gallup’s 13 kills led the Indians.
Salisbury’s Grace Yatawara shot 80-76 — 156 and finished 10th in TYGA State Championship held at Buies Creek.
•Nick Lyerly tied for 36th in the TYGA. He shot 75-81 — 156.
Logan Shuping shot 83-77 — 160 and tied for 51st.
Chris Queen shot 86-80 — 166 and tied for 67th.
• The McCanless Couples played with a Captain’s Choice format on Sunday.
Winners were Alex Safrit, Frank Foster and Ty and Beverly Cobb.
Second-place finishers were Glenn Trexler, Don Goodnight, Robin Leslie and Mary Seaford.
Ty Cobb won closest to the pin, and Trexler won longest putt.

Nebraska is entering its second bye week in a month, and no one in the Cornhuskers’ camp is complaining about the extra time off.
The Huskers did what they were supposed to do Saturday against the Big Ten’s weakest team, winning 44-7 at Purdue. If nothing else, the game showed they really could use injured quarterback Taylor Martinez healthy for the challenging November stretch that will determine whether the Huskers return to the Big Ten championship game.
Nebraska (5-1, 2-0) is tied with Michigan State for first in the Legends Division.
