Traffic stop leads to search and charges
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Nicholas Edwin Bumgarner, 29, of Astor Road, Mooresville.
Burmgarner was arrested on Aug. 9 and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possessing a stolen firearm.
Bumgarner was placed under a $25,000 secured bond. The charges were related to a traffic stop and subsequent search of Bumgarner’s former residence on East 22nd Street in Kannapolis, where deputies seized 192 grams (6.77 ounces) of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stolen .25 caliber firearm.
