SALISBURY – Authorities said a 25-year-old broke into a woman’s home last week and stole jewelry and medication.
Kevin Duane Grant, of Bluebird Lane, was arrested after Salisbury detectives said Grant sold the items to other residents in the area.
An arrest report said Grant broke into a home on Rowan Circle on Aug. 22. Grant and the homeowner knew each other, the report said, and Grant was aware of how to get into the home.
Among the stolen medication was hydrocodone and Soma, authorities said. Bracelets, necklaces and rings were also taken.
Detectives were able to recover some of the jewelry. The total amount stolen was estimated at more than $3,200.
Grant was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony obtaining property by false pretense. He remained in jail Thursday under a $25,000 bond.
