SALISBURY — The last few days have brought much-needed rainfall to Rowan County. The rainfall deficit has narrowed now to within a half inch of normal. The rainy week also provided time for home gardeners to ponder questions about vegetable gardens and landscapes.
Q: My Nellie R. Stevens holly leaves are turning yellow and dropping off. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or will it hurt the shrub?
