Two men shot near Clancy Hills Apartments

SALISBURY — Two men were shot in the legs at Clancy Hills Apartment this morning.
But the investigation doesn’t go much further.
Salisbury Police said Darius Hairston, 20, and Charles Summerville, 25, were both taken to the hospital after police found them in separate apartment buildings off Clancy Street about 3:30 a.m.
Both men said they were outside the apartments when they heard gunshots and started running.
They denied knowing each other.
According to the police report, officers initially thought Hairston, who was found at an apartment in building 104, was shot three times.
When EMS crews arrived, they realized a bullet entered his “right leg and went all the way through and lodged in his left leg,” the report said.
Summerville was also shot once in the right leg.
Both men said they didn’t see anyone or anything suspicious prior to the shooting.
Summerville, who gave his address as the streets of Charlotte, said he was “down here chilling,” the report said. He did not provide names of the people he was with.
