GREENSBORO (AP) — A woman has been killed after she wrecked her car while being chased by Greensboro police.
Police say the woman was suspected of committing fraud at a State Employees Credit Union office Tuesday just before the chase.
The woman’s name has not been released.
Police said an employee of the credit union called to report the suspected use of a stolen identification to cash a check. A responding officer chased the suspect vehicle.
Police say the woman lost control of her car about a mile away and crashed into several trees.
No other vehicles were involved and no charges have been filed.
