Woman charged with assaullting boyfriend

SALISBURY — A Salisbury woman was charged Saturday after authorities said she assaulted her boyfriend, injuring his ear.
Adria Hill Worth, 47, of Pearl Street, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
A Salisbury Police officer responded to a domestic disturbance when the officer came upon a man bleeding from his ear, sitting in a car.
The man was later identified as Gerald Gillespie.
A woman, later identified as Worth, was walking along the street, holding a child in her arms.
Gillespie was hit on the side of the head with an unknown object, a report said.
Worth was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center, where she remains as of this morning, under no bond due to the domestic nature of the incident, .
Worth has been convicted of common law forgery, disorderly conduct and larceny.
