The co-owner of Patterson Farm reported vandalism of one of his fields near Bradshaw Road Tuesday.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, Randall Graham Patterson told authorities vandals caused $3,000 in damage when they cut a plastic cover he had over the field and cut drip irrigation plastic tubing in places all over the field.
Patterson had last been on the field, where he was growing peppers and tomatoes, on March 16, the report said.
When he returned on about 9 a.m. on March 20, he contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
