Acts of vandalism reported around county

The East Rowan YMCA reported some $650 in damage to an outbuilding and some outdoor equipment over the weekend.
Reports taken by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office listed $300 in damage to the building, $200 to two metal tables $100 to a metal bench and $50 to a trail sign.
The East Rowan Y is located in the 700 block of Crescent Road, Rockwell.
In another vandalism, William Bradley Noble reported $3,495 damage to his 2012 Chrysler model car.
The incident happened between 11 p.m. Saturday and 6:45 a.m. Sunday while the car was parked in the 6700 block of Chenault Road, Cleveland.
In a separate incident, Doris Marie Cochran reported $1,000 damage to her 1998 Mazda. The vandalism occurred at 9:21 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Johnson Dairy Road, Rockwell.
Jimmy Lee Cochran was charged with injury to personal property in connection to the property damage.
Elsewhere, Kimberly A. Howell was charged with assault with a deadly weapon — a knife — against Ruperto Estrada in an early-morning incident Sunday.
Estrada had minor injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.
