Four charged in theft of scrap metal, farming equipment
MOORESVILLE — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested four men Saturday and charged them with stealing scrap metal and farming equipment worth $500.
The items were taken from Eric Leazer’s Deal Road home.
Jerry Wayne Sloan, 25, of 220 Hillcrest Drive; Dalton Allen Keller, 20, of 334 Hillcrest Drive; Jess William Bowers, 25, of 160 Kilmer Lane; and Richard Daniel Moose, 47, of 220 Hillcrest Drive have been charged with misdemeanor larceny and first-degree trespassing.
The men are also facing charges for injury to real property for damage to an oak farm fence. They have all been released under a $2,500 bond.
