SALISBURY — A Salisbury couple was arrested Saturday after officers said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a Green Street home.
A Salisbury Police report said officers went to 309 Green St. about 9 p.m. after they got a call about possible drug activity.
Police Interdiction Team members spoke to Ranesha Lachelle Sanders at the home, who stated that her “baby-daddy” had smoked marijuana in the home earlier that day, according to the report.
Officers said the home smelled strongly of marijuana and asked to search it.
After getting consent, officers found 21-year-old Brandon Jones, of 236 Pearl St., in a back room of the home.
Officers also found 11.9 grams, or .42 ounces, of marijuana, digital scales, wrapping papers and 68 pills, which have not yet been identified.
A black board lay on the bed with bits of marijuana on it, the report said. Police believe Jones had been using the bed to package marijuana for sale.
Officers said three children were also found watching TV in one of the home’s bedrooms.
They were released into the custody of Sanders’ relatives.
Jones was charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for storing drugs, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
Sanders was also charged with felony maintaining a dwelling for storing drugs.
She was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
