SALISBURY — A Salisbury woman came back from a convenience store Monday morning to find a man hiding in her bathroom.
The woman had just gotten back from getting kerosene for a heater, police said, when she noticed a light in the kitchen.
The 50-year-old knew the light had been off, and began checking around the Ridge Avenue home when she found the man hiding in her bathroom.
The man fled on foot, according to an arrest report, and was later captured by officers.
Police identified the man as 39-year-old Damon Gray Scott, of 729 C Victory Street.
He was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering and given a $1,500 bond.
Scott was in jail Tuesday morning.
