CHINA GROVE — A Rowan-Salisbury School System utility van overturned on Miller Road Wednesday after troopers said another van swerved into the left lane, hitting it nearly head on.
No one was seriously injured in the wreck, North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Chris Rogers said Wednesday.
The wreck happened in the 4200 block of Miller Road when a gold-colored Pontiac van took a sudden left turn onto Fair Share Road.
The white utility van collided with the vehicle about 2 p.m., crushing both front-ends. The school van rolled into a nearby yard and came to a stop upside down.
The driver of the utility van, Mark Honeycutt, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast for “precautionary reasons,” Rogers said, but did not appear seriously injured.
The driver of the Pontiac van, Jeremiah Scott Hubka, of Mooresville, also was not injured.
Locke Fire Department, Rowan EMS, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
