ENOCHVILLE — Deputies are searching for a man who robbed an Enochville convenience store Tuesday night.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, a man walked into Xpress Mart, 2720 West C St., at 10:12 p.m. and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the cashier.
The man was described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, jeans, white gloves and a white bandanna.
Deputies said the clerk emptied the cash registered for the man. He was last seen running from the store across the parking lot.
Deputies said they set up a perimeter around the store and brought in a canine unit.
The dog tracked the robber to the 1400 block of McGill Street, deputies said, but no one was caught.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Chad Moose, 704-216-8687 or Crimestoppers, 1-866-639-5245.
