Man arrested in traffic stop, faces charges from four counties

SALISBURY — A Blowing Rock man faces multiple charges in four counties after he was stopped Sunday for a speeding violation and was arrested by Salisbury Police.
Robert Jerome Cobb, 26, of 1078 Niley Cook Road in Blowing Rock, is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $60,000 bond. He faces charges in Rowan, Ashe, Caldwell and Watauga counties.
Charges include two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses; resist, delay and obstruct a public officer; carrying a concealed weapon; possession of a controlled substance; driving while license revoked; speeding; two counts of probation violation and communicating threats.
Cobb is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
