A Salisbury man was shot in the stomach Sunday morning during a party for Livingstone College students and alumni.
According to Salisbury Police, Miguel Urrutia, 20, was shot in the abdominal area at VFW Post 3006, 1200 Brenner Ave., at about 1:50 a.m.
The report said more than 300 people were at the party.
Just before 2, a crowd came running out of the building, police said, yelling that someone had started shooting.
Urrutia was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center, but was later transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was listed in serious condition Monday afternoon. No arrests have been made in the case. No other details were released by police, citing the pending investigation.
