SALISBURY ó Police hope to confirm this morning the identity of a body found Sunday near Interstate 85 .
The body of a man was found Sunday in a wooded area off Old Concord Road near the I-85 overpass.
Police said Sunday they were treating the death as ěsuspicious.î No description of the body was disclosed.
Chief Detective Sheila Lingle told the Post Monday evening that the medical examinerís office in Charlotte has not yet completed the autopsy.
ěWe donít at this point have a positive identification,î Lingle said. ěThereís nothing further that we can actually give out.î
She said police hoped to have more information today.
