Convicted felon faces more charges
SALISBURY — A convicted felon arrested last week for carrying a firearm was charged with trafficking in heroin Monday.
Robert Eugene Craver, 33, of 255 Teague Road in Salisbury, was charged with drug trafficking; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin; maintaining a dwelling to keep and store drugs and two counts of selling and delivering a controlled substance.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office says its special investigations team made undercover purchases of hydrocodone and black tar heroin from Craver. The investigation began in late June.
Craver has remained in the Rowan County Detention Center after he was arrested last week and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
He was given a $47,500 bond last week and another $50,000 bond Monday.
