WOODLEAF — A Woodleaf party got out of hand Monday night after authorities reported that some of the partiers drew weapons.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported that authorities arrived at 530 Erwin Temple Church Road at about 11 p.m. Monday after a dispute had broken out at the party.
The report said 20-year-old Sasha Crist had an injury to her arm from a knife at the party. The severity of the injury was not disclosed. Crist and her boyfriend were taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center. She has since been released.
An initial investigation by authorities indicated that a group had started a fight at the party and then drew firearms and knives.
Authorities did not find any weapons at the scene. No one was arrested. The Sheriff’s Office criminal investigation department is investigating.
