Thief breaks into Grace Lutheran Church

Someone kicked in the back door of Grace Lutheran Church sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning, stealing more than $2,000 in property.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, church officials contacted deputies Tuesday.
After a short investigation, deputies found the rear entrance at 3020 Grace Church Road had been kicked in and several church offices had been ransacked.
The report said a flash card, laptop computer, earset and more than $100 was taken.
Church members told authorities that the last time the church had been checked was at about 11 p.m. Monday night. The burglary was reported Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
An investigation is under way.
