Concord man dies after SUV hits fallen tree
CONCORD—A Concord man died Tuesday night after his SUV hit a fallen tree on Gold Hill Road.
According to a Cabarrus County Highway Patrol report, 64-year-old Bobby Eugene Ledbetter was traveling west on Gold Hill Road at about 9:15 p.m. when his 2001 GMC SUV hit a tree that had fallen across the road.
Ledbetter, of 220 Green Drive S.W., Concord, is believed to have been pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the report, Ledbetter struck the tree near the intersection of Gold Hill Road and Cline School Road.
Cabarrus EMS also responded.
