Two arrested, face multiple charges

CHINA GROVE — A Concord couple is behind bars after police say the pair went on a stealing spree Tuesday, taking items from Marshall’s in Concord and meat from Food Lion in China Grove.
According to China Grove Police, the couple were caught stealing meat and household products from Food Lion, but got away before police arrived.
Officers stopped them and placed them under arrest.
The clothes taken from Marshall’s, worth $108, were found, along with the groceries from Food Lion. Further search of the car found a syringe with heroin residue as well as a small amount of marijuana.
Maggie Marie Rodriguez, 41, was charged with heroin possession, larceny, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and resist/obstruct/delay. The Kannapolis Police Department also charged her with one count of larceny. She is in the Rowan County jail under a $3,500 secured bond.
Darrell Lane Hunsucker, 45, was charged with heroin and marijuana possession, shoplifting, larceny, driving while license revoked, possession of an open container, resist/obstruct/delay and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kannapolis Police also charged him with larceny. He is also under a $3,500 secured bond.
