GOLD HILL — A Gold Hill man is in the Rowan County jail under a $250,000 bond, charged early this morning with 18 felony sex offenses involving two juvenile girls.
Bert Wayne Tanner, 51, of 1211 Tucker Lane, was charged with indecent liberties with children, statutory rape and other sex offenses.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call about the alleged incidents Tuesday. Detective Clint Mauldin spoke to both victims and then to Tanner.
Tanner was arrested on the spot, the report said, and taken to the magistrate’s office.
Arizona authorities are also investigating.
