Man charged with selling crack cocaine

A Salisbury man has been arrested after police were tipped off that he was selling drugs from his home on South Jackson Street.
Eddie James Richardson Jr., 37, of 928 S. Jackson St., was reportedly selling crack cocaine at the home.
Salisbury Police detectives put the home under surveillance.
They discovered Richardson hiding cocaine in the trailer hitch of his sister’s Jeep.
Richardson is charged with one count of possessing a Schedule II controlled substances with intent to manufacture, a felony.
He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $250,000 bond.
In 1999, Richardson was convicted on charges of manslaughter and felony breaking and entering.
He was released in 2004, having served just under nine years in prison for those crimes.
