Driver misses woman and hits car

A 32-year-old Salisbury woman faces multiple charges after police say she attempted to run down another woman with her car.
According to Salisbury Police, Tiffany Sheree Jackson had her three children in the Chevrolet Impala when she attempted to run over Jessica Gaither.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on Christmas Day in a convenience store parking lot at 1518 E. Innes St.
According to police reports, the father of Jackson’s children is Gaither’s current boyfriend.
In the failed attempt to strike Gaither with her car, Jackson struck an occupied vehicle but left the scene.
Police subsquently charged Jackson, 32, of 308 Cedar Drive Ext., with assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run property damage, reckless driving to endanger, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Jackson is scheduled to appear in Rowan County District Court on Jan. 13.
