More than $2,000 worth of tools stolen

A China Grove man reported the theft of more than $2,200 worth of tools from a residence at 507 S. Vance St., Landis.
Christopher Randall Watts of Warrior Court, China Grove reported the theft on Dec. 26 to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Other Sheriff’s Office reports or charges from Dec. 25:
– Deputies reported recovering a stolen vehicle a black 1999 Honda Civic valued at $4,000. The vehicle was recovered a at 525 N. Main St.
– Dustin Lee Rash, 28, of Mount Vernon Road, Woodleaf received severe lacerations in an attack at his home.
– Mark Walter Hunsucker of Longbriar Drive, Kannapolis, reported he was robbed by two men at a residence at 8025 Longbriar Drive. Hunsucker was stabbed in the leg.
Other Sheriff’s Office reports or charges from Dec. 27:
– Michael Linkins Jr., was charged with assault by strangulation, assault on a female, delay and obstruct and assault on a government official.
According to a report, the charges involved a domestic incident between Linkins and his girlfriend, Kathryn Marie Yontz, Old Fields Drive.
