Bond goes up and up for failure to appear
A Salisbury man with a record of not showing up for court dates won’t be home for Christmas, New Year’s or possibly other holidays.
On Tuesday, Salisbury Police picked up Claymore Christopher Jones, 37, of 208 Harrell St., on at least eight counts of failure to appear or comply.
Acting on judge’s instruction, a magistrate set Jones’ bond at $510,000.
And today, when police served two more failure to comply or appear warrants on Jones, the bond grew by $200,000 ó an amount specified by the judge.
Jones is now in the Rowan County Detention Center under $714,000 bond.
Jones, who has served time in Central Prison as a habitual felon, also faces multiple non-support charges.
