Salisbury Police have an arrest warrant for Jerome Van Collins Jr., 23, charging him with attempted first-degree murder in the shooting of Anthony Brian Smyre, 17, Monday afternoon.
Collins’ last known address was Concord. He may be traveling in a 1999 blue Dodge Durango with license plate YPZ-1891.
Smyre was shot in the neck and torso in the area of Old Plank Road and Williams Road Monday afternoon around 4:16 p.m. He was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and later transferred to an another area medical center. His condition is not known at this time.
