Thieves take tools, chainsaws

Staff reportTwo home break-ins netted thieves nearly $3,000 in goods.
The Rowan Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at the home of Harold Holder, 190 Price Road.
Holder reported several tools taken along with three chainsaws, copper wire, log chains and pushmower.
The items, valued at $1,200, were taken between Nov. 9 and Dec. 9.
Also on Dec. 9, Michael W. Coward, 2332 Fowler St., reported the theft of an Echo leaf blower, Stihl chainsaw and assorted other tools, scooter, toys and a propane heater.
The items, valued at $1,500, were taken between Dec. 7 and Dec. 9 from a building and yard.
