Staff report
Salisbury Police are looking for a man who robbed the Pop Shoppe early Tuesday.
A clerk at the convenience store at 939 S. Jake Alexander Blvd. told police a man entered the store shortly after 3 a.m.
He asked about the restroom and after visiting it, he came out and went behind the counter.
He told the clerk to open the cash register and “not do anything stupid.”
The man is described as white, mid- to late-40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds.
No weapon was displayed.
Police did not disclose the amount of money taken.
Chief Mark Wilhelm said the man appears to be similar to the person who went into the Country Cupboard at 2010 Statesville Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. and stole an 18-pack of beer.
