– The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade, 11 a.m., starting on Main Street and ending at Livingstone College on West Monroe Street. Followed by activities at Varick Auditorium.
– Fill That Bus! All-day food drive sponsored by residents at Trinity Oaks for Rowan Helping Ministries in honor of King and the inauguration of Barack Obama. Bus is parked at Trinity Oaks, off Klumac Road.
