Police blotter – Officer assaulted trying to break up disturbance

A Salisbury Police officer working security at Waffle House, 936 Jake Alexander Blvd. was assaulted while attempting to defuse a disturbance on Jan. 3.

– On Jan. 3, Frederick Jones, reported he was cut with a knife at Attractions, 612 S. Main St.
– East Coast Memorial, 1408 N. Long St. reported a burglary on Jan. 3.
– Brandi Ellis, 1234 Celebration Drive, reported someone broke out the rear door glass on her car sometime on Jan. 3.
– Harold Morris, 715 Hall St., reported his car was vandalized on Jan. 4.
– Richard Grant, 1960 Harrison Rd., reported someone entered his unlocked car and took a mobile multimedia system.
– On Jan. 3, Margaret Hillard reported someone broke into her home at 221 W. Miller St. and removed items.
– On Jan. 3, Linda Sufficool, 405 Lake Drive, reported her home was burglarized.
– On Jan. 3, Antonio McCoy reported three males approached him on Standish St. near Brenner Avenue, forced him to the ground, and snatched his cellular telephone.
– On Jan. 4, Wen Xu Qin reported someone broke into his home and removed a TV and DVD player.
– Carmen Shepler, 408 Courtland Drive, reported on Jan. 4 she was bitten by a dog.
– Kohl’s Department Store, 1395 Klumac Rd., reported someone removed a large amount of electronic and audio merchandise through the rear fire escape without paying for it.
– Daryl Riddle, 114 Polo Drive, reported a neighbor continuously drives cars and trailers over his yard causing damage to the lawn.
– On Jan. 4, Dinette Dooley reported someone struck her red Honda Passport with their vehicle while it was parked at First Calvary Baptist Church. The other driver did not stop.
– On Jan. 4, Ricky Bats, 200 Castlewood Dr., reported someone took his wallet from his apartment.
– On Jan. 4, Jamie Ackerman, 139 Ridge Avenue, reported her boyfriend took her rent money and other personal items.
– On Jan. 4, Alex Livengood reported his vehicle was damaged while parked at Tinseltown Cinema, 305 Faith Rd.
– On Jan. 4, Kim Mashore, 715 Hall St., reported someone vandalized the window to her home as well as an air conditioner and dresser.
– On Jan. 5, Godley’s Garden Center and Serendipity store reported someone broke the front windows at both windows, damaged items, and removed money from the registers.
– On Jan. 5, Virginia Wittington reported someone broke into her van.
– On Jan. 5, Sacred Heart Catholic School, 128 N. Fulton St., reported someone stole an MP3 player, a radio, and 2 ceramic figures.
– On Jan. 5, Chambers Realty reported a burglary on Jan. 3 to two office areas inside Kent Executive Building at 909 S. Main St.
– On Jan. 5, Thomas Morts reported a vehicle was stolen from Rowan Muffler and Car Care, 201 E. Innes St.
– On Jan. 5, Rodney W. Smith reported a student assaulted an assistant principal at Henderson Independent School, 1215 N. Main St.
– On Jan. 5, Papa John’s Pizza, 1030 Freeland Dr., reported an unknown female tried to use a stolen credit card while ordering a pizza over the phone.

– Joseph Allen Sidden, 23, was arrested on Jan. 3 for assault with a deadly weapon or inflicting serious injury on Jan. 3.

– On Jan. 1, Tony Cinquemani, 73, reported someone shot into his home at 310 John Morgan Rd. at about midnight. Damage to the home was estimated at about $1,100.
– On Jan. 1, Noel Guerrero, 201 Westhaven Way, China Grove, reported someone shot into his home. The bullet went in one side of his house and out the other. There were no injuries. Damage was about $100.
– On Jan. 1, Robert Kluttz, 5135 Statesville Blvd., reported someone broke into his home. Two windows suffered about $400 damage.
– On Jan. 1, Willa Newell reported someone broke into an unoccupied dwelling at 5055 Statesville Blvd. Damage to a window was estimated at $100.
– On Jan. 1, Richard Whitling reported someone robbed him at gunpoint at 350 Old Wood Lane.
– On Jan. 1, Benjamin Jarvis reported someone broke into an outbuilding at 160 Pineview Circle and removed guns, ammunition, and a crowbar. Value is estimated at $1,220.

– On Jan. 3, officers responded to a neighborhood disturbance on Kenway Drive in Woodleaf where several people reported they were assaulted by each other. One victim was taken to the hospital with possible back injuries.
– On Jan. 4, Paul Poteat, 1280 Elizabeth Avenue, Kannapolis, reported two cars were broken into at his home. Thieves took money, cell phones and chargers, GPS devices and chargers, and a carton of cigarettes. Total value of the items was given as $480.
– On Jan. 4, Antious Ford, 127 Mallard Lane, Rockwell, reported a bullet entered his home through the front living room wall.
– On Jan. 4, Paulette Aistrop reported someone broke into her home at 450 Nicholas Run and took money and medication. Total value is $155.
