The Rowan County Farm Bureau will host a forum and meet the candidates event Thursday the Rowan County Agricultural Center, 2727-A Old Concord Road.
Candidates are scheduled to attend in the following races:
– Rowan County Board of Commissioners ó Raymond Coltrain, Laura Lyerly, Carl Ford, and incumbent Jim Sides.
– N.C. Senate, 34th District, incumbent Sen. Andrew Brock, challenger William A. Burnette.
– N.C. House, 76th District ó Rep. Fred Steen is running unopposed; and 77th District ó Rep. Lorene T. Coates, incumbent, and challenger Ada Fisher.
– Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor ó Ben Knox, incumbent is running unopposed.
The event will get under way at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments.
