Man trimming tree falls 30 feet; airlifted to Charlotte

KANNAPOLIS ó A man working for a tree-trimming company was air-lifted to a Charlotte hospital Thursday after falling nearly 30 feet.
The Kannapolis Fire Department responded to a medical call at 5813 McClenny Drive.
According to a fire department press release, the man fell out of a bucket truck while trimming trees.
The man’s name and condition were not immediately available.
Firefighters responded with three vehicles and seven personnel. Odell Fire Department also assisted with this call.
Due to the height of the fall, the patient was flown by helicopter to Carolina Medical Center-Charlotte.
Fire department personnel established a landing zone across the street at the Afton Ridge Shopping Center.
