KANNAPOLIS ó Two people were pinned in a car and four people were taken to hospitals after a Tuesday morning wreck.
At 10:27 a.m. Tuesday, Kannapolis Fire Department units were dispatched to a two-car collision at 1403 Oakwood Ave. Firefighters found two passengers pinned in one of the vehicles and multiple injuries to four people, Fire Department spokeswoman Maria Bostian said.
Four passengers were driven to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast and one was flown by helicopter to Carolinas Medical Center-Charlotte.
Firefighters set up a landing zone for the helicopter at Kannapolis Middle School.
