Rowan may charge man arrested in Concord robberies

A man arrested by Concord police today for two gas station robberies may face charges in Rowan County.
Police arrested Shawn Griffin Dillard for the robbery of the Kangaroo Express on Copperfield Boulevard.
And he was picked up around 3:30 a.m. Monday at the Pilot station at Lane Street and Interstate 85.
According to reports, he was arrested as he came out of the store carrying a gun and money.
Police say the gun used in the robbery was stolen in a car break-in in Rowan County.
Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan Sheriff’s Office said investigators are working with Concord on the case.
Dillard, 25, is in the Cabarrus County Jail with bond set at $1million. He is being held on multiple charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny.
